Still photography has the incredible ability to capture and distill an instant of time, place, and mind like no other medium.

With photography, I have been able to capture moments of insane interest and beauty. This site is a presentation of some 50+ years of that capturing — from various places around the world.

It is my intent and privilege to share those images — those moments — through this site.

Inspiration

This site might have existed without the inspiration of my sweetie and travel companion, Rose, but it would certainly not have the breadth that it does.

She has been the impetus and driving force of so many of the trips we've taken.

We have distinctive roles in our travels: She is the master researcher, planner, and arranger of initial accommodation. I am the recorder and instigator of spontaneous diversions once we're there.

On the road, I am the driver — she is the navigator.

We've made a good team, and this site is so much more than it might have been, because of her.
